Courthouse Elopement + Superstition Mountains Bridal Session | Katrina + Eric

Dog-loving people are my kind of people, and these two were no exception! Katrina and Eric are the coolest couple, and the fact that they are obsessed with their dogs puts them at the top of my cool list! They were one of my first couples to be affected by the Covid shut down. When all their plans came to a halt, they decided instead of trying to plan a whole new wedding later, they just wanted to get married now! So they decided to go to the nearest courthouse and seal the deal. My kind of people! We got to celebrate at their courthouse elopement together with their parents in tow and also out in the Superstition Mountains for a magical couple session later on.

Katrina and Eric certainly weren’t going to let Covid rain on their wedding day parade, and I love that so much about them!

Katrina called me on a Monday and said “What are you doing Wednesday at 5pm?” None of the other stuff mattered, except for getting married! It was pouring rain all day but they didn’t care. Katrina said “Because of how everything happened, it honestly wouldn’t have been fitting if it was a perfect sunny day today” with a smile on her face. I love and admire these two so much! It was such a privilege to be there with their parents and listen to them exchange vows and make promises to each other. Shoutout to Florals by Kris for making beautiful florals happen with only a day’s notice, and their seamstress for working OVERNIGHT to get her dress done! When love is at the center of it all, it’s amazing what can happen!

The desert delivered some amazing light for them when it came time for their bridal session in the Superstition Mountains.

Surrounded by pillars of gorgeous floral and cacti glowing in the sun, they lit up brighter than the sky as newlyweds! Covid changed so much for so many, and I love witnessing the magic that came of it all when my couple’s chose to focus on what mattered most.
