Wildflower Couple’s Session in Sedona | Cassidy + Reed

If there is one thing I love about my job it's getting to photograph couple sessions. Cozy cuddles, adventurous hikes, simple sweet moments, there is just so much to love! I am so lucky that I get to be a part of a couples life, even for just a day. When it comes to these sessions I feel like I am receiving an inside look at their relationship and their story. There is something so special about witnessing a couples love in a beautiful environment, it’s just picture perfect!

I also feel like I am one of the luckiest photographers out there because Sedona really is the perfect setting for all things photography.

I can invite clients to so many different beautiful areas or I can attend some stunning elopements in intimate locations! I feel like I’ve seen it all but it still feels like each one is brand new in its own unique way. There are endless locations and everywhere you go you are bound to find the perfect backdrop.

Today’s absolutely stunning couple, Cassidy and Reed, wanted to have a fun and easy couples session.

So we headed to Slide Rock State Park and had an absolute blast! To start things off on the right foot we had the perfect day, Sedona is beautiful this time of year and this day was no different! In fact, it had a little extra magic added to it because the wildflowers were fully blooming! We had the perfect temperature and the colors of fall were starting to peek through.

Cassidy wore a beautiful rust colored sweater and black hat with jeans while Reed kept things subtle in a blue button down and khaki pants. They fit in perfectly with the scenery. We started out our day among the trees with the gorgeous rock formations behind them. Most of the trees were a vibrant green still, but there was just a faint touch of a golden glow starting to appear on a few. This made our couple absolutely pop! I find it so wild every time I flip through photos from sessions and see just how small our couples look in some of these areas. I mean, Cassidy and Reed looked so tiny in front of that mountain but their love was just about as big as it!

When couples are down for my spontaneous ideas, I know we’re going to have a good time!

It was so wonderful to work with Cassidy and Reed. They are such a fun and easy going couple! So, it’s no surprise that they were down for just about anything. When I noticed the wild flowers blooming at Slide Rock I just had this crazy vision of them among the flowers. I had to see if we could make a few photos happen! I am so happy Cassidy and Reed were excited to pose with the wildflowers, they made this shoot so much more memorable and unique!
