El Chorro Desert Garden Wedding

Michelle + Aaron

The first time I spoke with Michelle and Aaron was over a year and a half ago, right before I was heading off to Spain. I was sitting in my hotel room in New York, and we got along so well through FaceTime and talked forever! I finally got to meet them in person during their engagement session at the Superstition Mountains, and have been looking forward to shooting their wedding ever since! El Chorro was the perfect fit for them in Scottsdale, Arizona, as it incorporates the Arizona desert feel, as well as surrounding you in beautiful gardens. The ceremony site has an amazing view of Camelback Mountain, which makes the perfect backdrop for exchanging vows and photos. The beautiful florals on the grounds even reach inside with the reception room being filled with ivy circling the ceiling and the chandeliers. There were so many fun and special moments to capture at this wedding! It was clear to everyone how much they love their fur baby Wall-E, and I’m so happy that he was able to be a part of pictures and the wedding ceremony as the honorary ring bearer. I love it when venues are dog friendly! They had the cutest Sprinkles cupcakes for everyone, which brought back memories from their engagement session when they brought me one as a thank you! Aaron’s brother is an extremely talented musician, and it was so special that he played the piano and sang for the mother and son dance during the reception. They really incorporated things that were meaningful to them throughout the day, and I’m so glad it turned out just as they imagined!
