Red Rock Vow Renewal | Sedona, Arizona

Eline and Allard came all the way from Holland to renew their vows in the beautiful red rocks of Sedona, Arizona. They spent a couple of weeks here road tripping all around Arizona and Utah taking in all of the majestic views. Sedona was their last stop! I’m sure it was so much to take in, coming from the Netherlands. I love showing couples from other countries and states all around some of my favorite spots in Arizona. They’re always so amazed by how much this state has to offer. Eline and Allard never got to read vows to each other on their wedding day so they decided to do a vow renewal 5 years later. I love when couples do this! I always remind people that you don’t have to wait 20 years to renew your vows. You can do it whenever and wherever you want! It’s a celebration of the time you’ve spent together and a recommitment of your love. Do it whenever it feels right! The days leading up to the vow renewal were perfectly clear and sunny. Of course the day of, the sky was basically black and so stormy! I’m a rain or shine kind of girl and told them if they we’re good with it, we would just run with it and embrace the weather! Rain means rainbows after all :) I wanted them to have a real Sedona experience so we decided to hike to our location. We lucked out with it being completely secluded! Not a soul around! They took turns reading their vows to each other in Dutch. I couldn’t understand a word of it but I could feel the love so strong from both of them! I felt like it made it even more special too because it was for their ears only. After their finished their emotional vows we spent some time enjoying the view and shooting all around the desert red rocks. We had a blast! The sky was still dark but it only sprinkled on us a little bit. I was telling them that I have crazy good luck with rainbows and maybe we’d get one! As we were finishing up our hike and heading back to our cars we turn around and BAM! Huge rainbow! We couldn’t stop laughing about it because the timing was so perfect. Vow renewals are so special and I always feel so honored to be apart of them. Especially when they end with a rainbow against the red rocks in Sedona.
