Joshua Tree Styled Elopement

Jenna + Ottley just celebrated their one year marriage anniversary, yay! What better way to celebrate then to dress back up in your wedding clothes?! These guys were awesome enough to come out to Joshua Tree to model for a styled elopement mentoring session that I was teaching there. They did such a fantastic job modeling and it was so fun to see them interact with each other after a year of marriage! They were still in love as ever and so sweet to each other. As we were driving into the park together, Ottley asked what was so special about these trees that we had to drive 5 hours to get to them? Haha! Once he saw them, he understood. Joshua Tree is a pretty magical place. It’s quickly become one of my favorites to visit and to shoot at.

Melissa with Moelleux Events  put together the most AMAZING florals for this shoot. Jenna + Ottley had incorporated some of his Hawaiian culture into their wedding, so I wanted to do the same for this shoot. Melissa created the most amazing lei, flower crown, boutonniere, and bouquet! She did an incredible job balancing the tropical, wild, bold, look that I was going for. I kept the bouquet in a vase in my kitchen for about a week and a half after the shoot because I was just so dang obsessed with it. I wish I could hire her to deck out my house in fresh beautiful florals every week. That would be a dream!
