Snowy Sedona Wedding Photos
Bella + Mckay
Is there anything better than taking your wedding photos in snowy Sedona? I think not! There’s something so magical about white capped red rocks in Arizona. I’ve only seen snow in Sedona a few other times in my life so I felt pretty lucky that we were able to take Bella + Mckay’s wedding photos here during one of those times! It was absolutely FREEZING but these two were troopers and still had smiles on the whole time. We actually took their photos a few days before they got married so you could just feel their excitement about their upcoming wedding. We started out with a first look and it was so sweet. Mckay couldn’t stop admiring Bella and telling her how beautiful she looked. It was adorable. Side note: Bella’s hair and makeup artist cancelled on her the day of the session so her mom did her hair and makeup. She did such a good job! I was seriously impressed. First looks are one of my favorite things to photograph! I try to stay back as far as possible so that the couple can have their moment together(without feeling like they are being attacked by paparazzi!) After their first look we walked around and found so many beautiful spots to stop and take photos. One of my favorite spots that we shot at here was the snow covered cactus patch! When I saw that I was like a kid on Christmas morning. It was one of the prettiest things I had ever seen. This past winter we got SO MUCH SNOW here in Arizona and I will still never get over seeing snow on cactus in the desert. It’s so unique! I feel dang lucky to live so close to Sedona and am grateful to be able to shoot there often.
Here are some kind words from Bella: “We had Erika take our bridal up in Sedona and could not be happier with how they turned out. We have had SO many people asking us who took our photos because they look like they’re straight out of a magazine. Not only did she do an incredible job, but she was so fun and easy to work with. Erika was more than happy to make the trip up to Sedona and made the experience comfortable and enjoyable! We definitely recommend her to everyone!”
