Cliffs of Moher Elopement

Breann + Ronnie

I talked with Breann + Ronnie a year ago about their plans to elope in Ireland. They told me how special Ireland was to them and that Ronnie’s family actually had ties to Galway. Ronnie’s mother, Samantha, had just recently passed away and it meant even more to them to go through with their plans to get married there. I knew from the very beginning that there was something special about these two and their story and I couldn’t wait to meet them and capture this huge moment for them. The time finally came and we were off to Ireland! I was able to bring my husband with me which was so amazing. He was the best “assistant” ever and such a massive help to everyone. Breann even gave him the nickname of “honorary maid of honor”. I’m still trying to convince him to be my full time partner with shooting weddings/elopements(fingers crossed!). The wedding day was absolutely stunning. Everyone got ready in an incredible hotel in Galway right off the coast that looked like a castle. As everyone was getting ready you could just feel the excitement of the day. After some fun photos and first looks, we loaded up and off we went to the ceremony! When we pulled up to the Corcomroe Abbey, I was in awe. It was such an incredible structure with so much history. I loved that they picked this spot to get married in. It was so fitting for a wedding in Ireland. Surrounded by just their closest friends and family, it was time to have the ceremony. The ceremony was led by an Irish officiant who incorporated some old Irish traditions that were really amazing to witness. After the ceremony we drove up to the Cliffs of Moher to get some amazing portraits. It was so unbelievably windy and part of me wondered if we would blow off the cliffs. The view was absolutely breathtaking! It’s so crazy to actually see a place in person that you have seen your whole life in photos. I’ve always dreamed of going here and to shoot an elopement here was so humbling. Breann’s dress had cape sleeves that looked so perfect flowing in the wind. I couldn’t get over how beautiful they both looked on the cliffs. It was such a dream. We couldn’t stop talking about how perfect it turned out and how crazy it was that we were all actually in IRELAND! I really can’t explain how lucky I felt that Breann + Ronnie brought us to Ireland to be apart of this special day. I will cherish that experience for the rest of my career + life.

In loving memory of Samantha Morris-Wright
